EXPERIENCE

If you choose to remain near The Cabin during your stay, there are a range of board games, cards, books and puzzles for you to use - perfect for an activity while lounging on the deck. Or you can try your luck at getting a hole-in-one from the golf tee box - it’s harder than it looks! During the evenings you can gather around the outdoor fire pit, where you can roast marshmallows under the stars then wrap up your day in the 2-person bath sunk into the deck.

If you’re in the mood for a little adventure not too far from The Cabin, take the supplied picnic backpack for an on-farm picnic up the hill or if it’s a warm day, down to the crystal-clear Waihi river for a refreshing swim.

Whether you’re here to relax or explore, Waimarie Station is your ultimate escape into nature, offering the perfect combination of luxury, adventure, and tranquility.

walking & MOuntain bike tracks - closed from march - may

We have 3 private walking tracks on the farm, should you wish to explore your surrounds. They range from 3km up to 24km and include paths through native bush teeming with wildlife, picnic spots next to a beautiful fresh water river, views across the Cantebury Plains and magical secluded waterfalls.
More information is provided on the tracks on arrival to The Cabin.

There is also an option to purchase a guided farm tour where you can learn more about the farm, land and local area. Guests are collected from The Cabin and driven through the native bush to the top of the tussock country. Lunch can be included. Please enquire for pricing and availability.

The tracks are also suitable for mountain bikes, or even e-bikes, and all skill levels as the terrain is a mixture of steep, flat and rolling country. BYO bikes.
